Walter Lybeck, Director of Finance & Accounting

Walter joined Rejuvenation in March 2006 as Controller, and was promoted to Director of Finance and Accounting in April 2008. He is responsible for the company's accounting and finances - including evaluating company risk and managing cash flow, and also functions as Corporate Secretary and Treasurer.

What Walter enjoys most about his work is the variety, and in his role he gets to touch on every aspect of the business. He believes strongly in continuous improvement, and encourages his team to challenge assumptions and develop more accurate and efficient methods. As a result, the Accounting department has developed a much deeper understanding of their work that has contributed to the bottom line.

Recently, Walter's ability to deal with the unexpected allowed him to "perform" in a different way. This time, he was recruited to host a Rejuvenation video that demonstrates how to install an interior door set. Setting aside his spreadsheets, Walter picked up a power tool and bravely stepped in front of the camera - all to help others take their do-it-yourself skills to the next level. His video debut was nothing less than impressive, and received a YouTube rating of 4 out of 5. (See for yourself)

Walter proudly defines himself first and foremost as a husband and father. When away from work, he happily putters around the 1928 bungalow that he shares with his wife and two children. He also enjoys biking, running, and a good game of golf - particularly when the tee time coincides with the sunrise. He especially enjoys spring and summer, when he drifts the McKenzie River in search of the elusive steelhead.
