Once a new product is conceptualized, Julie is the person responsible for the necessary logistics for getting it made, in all the departments involved. Recently, she was tracking over 300 new items and making the links between design, engineering, purchasing, inspection, assembly, and marketing.

What prior experience qualifies her for this job? Following her passion for music, Julie was the manager of an all-woman blues/funk band called Swamp Mama Johnson — booking gigs, coordinating PR, and managing all the other details of a band on tour.
