Each Heat Register's dimensions correspond to the duct size that the grille flush fits. For example, a 4" x 12" register will flush mount onto a 4" x 12" duct.

To ensure that your Heat Registers will have a flush-mount fit, measure the duct openings in your home before ordering.

Grilles that are not ordered pre-drilled (the "with holes" option) have up to 3/4" inch of play to accomodate slightly larger ducts.

Tip: Register grilles can be used alone, without louvers to replace missing cold-air returns, or to cover up holes. However, the underside of each grille has a protruding lip (illustrated below) that must fit inside the vent opening for a flush-mount installation.
