Claw Foot Tubs ordered with Shower Filler sets require a pressure balance valve in order to meet plumbing code.

Pressure-balance valves are soldered to the pipes that deliver hot and cold water to the shower, and are designed to keep the water at a consistent temperature.

Installation, especially for a retrofit, is an involved process best left to the pros. We recommend having your plumber obtain and install a pressure balance valve for you.
