FAQ

Which Tub Supply Lines Set should I choose?

Choose your Supply Lines based on the type of pipe to which they'll be connected.

Copper pipes: Choose Compression Valve Supply Lines.

Flexible plastic pipes: Plastic pipes typically have copper "stubs" on the ends for making connections. If you're connecting to copper, you'll want Compression Valve Supply Lines. However, plastic pipes topped with a 1/2" threaded brass adapter require Threaded Valve Supply Lines.

Galvanized pipes: Galvanized steel pipes were installed up until the late 1950s, and are still in use in many old houses. Their supply connections are threaded and tapered, and standardized 1/2" sizing is referred to as IPS, which stands for "iron pipe size." If you'll be connecting to galvanized/IPS pipes, choose Threaded Valve Supply Lines.

Tip: If you are unsure or can't see what type of pipe your Supply Lines connect to, please contact a plumber.
