The BF9770 and our other Neoclassical shades ( BG9770, BH9770, BA6125, and BA9434) are relatively easy DIY decorating projects.

The flowers, repeated around the shade hip, can be painted purple, blue, pink, or green with acrylic latex. Paint the inside for a period look; the colors will soften through the etched glass when lit.

Also the inside of the shade is smooth and glossy, making it easier to remove sloppy brush strokes.
