Crafty folks with artistic yearnings: Get your paints and brushes ready.

The 12" Frosted Bowl Shade and our other Neoclassical shades are relatively easy DIY decorating projects.

The flowers, repeated around the shade hip, can be painted purple, blue, pink, or green with acrylic latex. Paint the inside for a period look; the colors will soften through the etched glass when lit.

Also the inside of the shade is smooth and glossy, making it easier to remove sloppy brush strokes.
