All right Mr. Scorsese, I'm ready for my close-up.
The Jenkins made its auspicious Hollywood debut in Martin Scorsese's "The Aviator", as a mentally deteriorating Howard Hughes fends off (from behind locked doors) the hostile business advances and cigar smoke of Pan Am boss Juan Tripp - through the Jenkins' keyhole.
The Jenkins, however, is a 1930s star in its own right. Introduced by Elgin as the "Manhattan", its Art Deco styling evokes the bold spirit of the great city's Empire State and Chrysler Buildings. "Best Supporting Hardware" awards go to Art Deco cabinet knobs and pulls, and fluted glass and crystal knobs and pulls.
Tips: Latch sets include 3-1/2" spindle for 1-3/8" thick doors. Longer spindles, different backplates, and other doorknob options available. Email or call Customer Service at 888-401-1900.
