Half of the 60W Large Chrome-tip Globe Bulb has an opaque metallic coating that blocks bulb and filament glare. Installed upside down, it reflects back up around the shade for indirect light -- a striking effect when used on the Kirby and Tibbetts, but also suitable on the Willis or other Pendant Lighting used with open-ended shades.
