A ball catch is used when a door is opened only by pulling or pushing it. When the door is closed, spring tension pushes the brass ball into a notched brass strike in the doorjamb.

Ball Catches are typically used with Dummy Spindles.

Our ball catch is one inch wide, requiring at least a one inch thick door. It comes with the two sizes of strikes shown, to allow it to be used with different types of door jams.
