This Pocket Door Edge Pull fits new pocket doors only.

Antique pocket door hardware required type of trim called an astragal - a wooden "lip" which prevented the hardware from damaging the jamb's interior edges when the door closed.

Pocket door hardware like the DE1488 are for new pocket doors, which don't require this trim. This item should not be used to replace old pocket door edge pulls.
