Two for One
The simple Swedish-style glass pendant was a staple mid-century fixture design offered by many manufacturers in different variations. Our Aeros is based on a circa 1960 original from the EJS Lighting Corporation. Interestingly, when EJS introduced their Fiesta pendant in 1959, they seem to have overlooked that by eliminating the aluminum cylinder they had an easy all-glass version as well. Not for long however, as by 1962 the glass-only version is available, and even shown in an installation shot (see right).
Affordable Style
The EJS fixture our Aeros is based on cost $18.75 in 1962. Taking inflation into account, our $104 price for the reproduction today is actually just a bit cheaper than you'd have paid when the fixture was brand new. Our Aeros Tri at $386 ($63.25 originally) comes in pretty much right on the money as well. Looks like "the good old days" are still good.
