Before its resurrection as the Collins, this fixture's original inspiration was known around here as "The Spool" because of its distinctive center-body shape.
And before that fixture had a nickname, it gathered dust in the basement for a long time. In fact, it was rescued back in 1977 from some doomed old apartment building. When you're into old stuff, your inspiration often comes from filthy places.
