Clean, classic lighting like the Upshur was a mainstay lighting style from Colonial Revival through Arts & Crafts, and up to homes of the 1940s.

Like the similar Newcastle, which has a larger shade holder, the Upshur suits kitchen sinks, hallways, utility rooms, and other compact spaces. Small-scale pendant lighting also works well in multiples over kitchen counters and islands.
