In the early 1900s, the growing popularity of Arts & Crafts idealism signaled a drastic shift in popular culture.
Out went the bric-a-brac of the Gilded Age. In came a strong desire for a more down-to-earth way of living. Cozy bungalows were being built with handcrafted details like inglenooks, built-in bookcases, and simple, Mission-style lighting.
The Buckman, and its longer cousin the Franklin, were popular dining and living room lighting. Pair either fixture with the Austin or Deschutes for a set with authentic Arts & Crafts style.
