The Boardman is a sconce that likes to stretch out and make itself comfortable, and prefers the spacious environs of large dining and living rooms.

This family is typical of pre-1920 Colonial Revival fixtures which were much heavier and more solidly detailed than later versions. We first saw the original of this fixture in a stunning 1911 Old English/Craftsman - proof that period lighting styles didn't always match period house styles.
