The Detroit is a reworking of our older Cape Meares, which has a round, exposed turnkey socket instead of the Mission-style shade holder you see here.

Why change this detail? In this case, swapping sockets allows you to create a matching lighting set when paired with the Cascade.

The other reason is that some folks fancied everything about the Cape Meares except its bare-bones turnkey socket, so we opted to keep the old, and create anew.
