During the last decade, we noticed that Mission-style porch lanterns had proliferated.

Like the locations of a particular Northwest coffee company, it seemed there was not only one on every corner - but two or three per block. So, out of respect for our customers (and Mission lighting itself), we felt it was our duty to find and reproduce a fixture that was simple and attractive, yet distinctly different.

To find the right light, we turned to our formidable collection of historic lighting catalogues, presided over by our Senior Historian, Bo Sullivan. After hours spent perusing the archives, we discovered just the fixture we were looking for in a circa 1910 catalogue from the St. Louis Brass Mfg. Co.

Notice that our Lowell duplicates the original design in all its dimensions, and our Williams is a scaled-up version for settings that require a larger fixture.
