Mid-Century is Modern: Rejuvenation Introduces Suite of MCM Products
Timeless Mid-Century Designs Look Just Right Not Just Retro
PORTLAND, Ore. July 7, 2010 –
Mid-century modern architects had a vision – to create infinitely livable homes whose beauty lay in the simplicity of line and form. The right pieces enhance, rather than obscure, that vision. For the newest additions to Rejuvenation’s Mid-Century Modern Collection, the company chose lighting, hardware, and house parts whose Scandinavian-inspired lines, and timeless designs look just right, not just retro. With this new assortment, one can overhaul an entire bathroom, or pay homage to mid-century modern by using one or two of these pieces. Choose from iconic new lighting, bath hardware and exterior door hardware.
Gemini and Casper
Docked on either side of your mirror, the Gemini, with its dual-cone shades, will provide both wall-washing light and an ambient glow. Our new fixture is based on a popular fixture offered by Prescolite in the early 1960s and complements Rejuvenation’s existing, popular hourglass lighting collection. Gemini is available in Brushed Aluminum with a choice of shiny opal or etched opal hand-blown glass shades. Price with shades: $175
The Casper marries space-age style with modern energy-efficient options at an affordable price point. Our newest flush-mount fixture is a smaller version of the Swedish-inspired Nimbus. Its shade is integrated into the overall design, creating a stylistically simple fixture. “Starlight” pinholes and a saucer shaped shade add a subtle space-age feel to the design. Available in Brushed Aluminum or Bronzetone finishes. Price with shade: $155
Sleek mid-century bathrooms come to life when adorned with just enough – not too much – decoration. Rejuvenation’s new bath hardware line adds period-authentic shimmer and shape without overtaking the room. The square back plate (or diamond when turned on end) hails from the Hall-Mack Aristochrome Series of the ’50s and ’60s, while the star option, with its twinkling space-age optimism, fell from the Star Line by Bush Bros.
The collection includes: towel ring set, single hook, double hook, 14” and 20” tempered glass shelf set, toilet paper holder and towel bar sets in 18”, 24”, and 30” options. Mix and match square, diamond or star back plates for maximum versatility. All bath hardware comes in Polished Chrome or Brushed Chrome. Prices range from $23-$90.
Rejuvenation’s new Mid-Century Modern assortment continues to the exterior with exterior door sets. Three iconic shapes from the 1950s and 1960s: the star, the square, and the circle, are the perfect adornment to period-perfect ranch homes or sleek contemporary architecture. Made in solid brass and available in 3 period-authentic finishes: Brushed Chrome, Polished Chrome, and Lacquered Brass. These door sets are designed to fit the Schlage Orb door set, but can be purchased separately. You’ll find everything you need for the typical 5" backset or the standard 2-3/4" or 2-3/8" backset of today. Matching star, square or circle doorbell buttons also available to complete the look. Prices from $22-$228
