Architectural inspiration came from Spanish haciendas, Mediterranean villas, English cottages, Norman castles, Tudor manors, and log cabins - very Disney-like before Disneyland.

Swords and shields, galleons and gargoyles, medallions and candlesticks found their way into fixtures that were whimsical, yet well-built and attractive.
