High Back Dining Chair

  • $519
  • The quintessential Colonial era design, our High-Back Chair is crafted in West Virginia of sustainably harvested Appalachian maple. It is thought that 16th-century wheelrights introduced the practice of turning chair spindles on a lathe, as they turned spokes for wheels. Because the spindles and legs are round-tenoned, or fit into drilled holes, High-Back chairs allow for more delicacy of line than a standard chair where the back legs and uprights are carved from a single piece.
