Knights of Pythias Carved Pedestal Item # F1860
No fraternal order right of passage ceremony can take place without the ceremonial pedestal. This three-sided pedestal comes from a late 19th century Knights of Pythias temple. Hand built from oak, and featuring lovely hand carved Aesthetic Style incised geometric motifs, the pedestal also features stylized medallions, which read FCB (Friendship, Charity, Benevolence - the three points of the triangle). The piece is fairly worn, but still very sturdy in its construction. The surface and the base still have a traces of the original gold gilt paint – otherwise the finish is wonderfully intact.
- 30"W x 29"H x 26"D
