Framed Panama-Pacific Exposition Souvenir Print Item # F2161

Circa 1915

Held in San Francisco in 1915, the Panama-Pacific Exposition was a world's fair that, for all intents and purposes, served to commemorate the completion of the Panama Canal – although the sub-text of the fair was to celebrate the rebirth of San Francisco, following the earthquake of 1906. Shown here is a wonderful little souvenir print, which depicts the Exhibition's grand promenade, bathed in colorful light. Framed in original wood and gesso frame, but re-backed for protection.

  • Condition notes: Some signs of wear in the frame.
