Durable and fireproof, metal furnishings were commonly found in hospitals and doctor's offices from the turn of the century through the 1930's. This exceptionally large and remarkable example of early medical furniture features heavy-duty steel and cast iron construction, a wide, shallow upper cabinet with beveled glass doors and four glass shelves, bold cabriole legs connected by a steel metal stretcher and some wonderfully unique hardware. See the additional photos for details of the worn nickel-plated hinges and petite knob. Offering both style and functionality, we can imagine this lovely cabinet in your home, studio or retail space.

  • Historical Style: Classical/Industrial
  • Condition Notes: Stripped steel finish has been clear-coated to prevent further decay.
