Reupholstered Lounge Chair in the Style of Halabala Item # F4724
Deep lounge chairs hailed from many countries, over many years, but all represent luxury, comfort and - in some cases - indulgence. This type of lounge chair is extremely deep and reclined, and we believe it originated in Italy in the mid-20th century. Featuring horizontal channel tufting, a deep, low-slung seat and fully refinished swooping, scrolling bentwood arms. The rich teal green upholstery is a luxurious cotton velvet, fully restored here in our upholstery studio, with matching velvet welt.
The swooping arms are reminiscent of the chairs designed by Jindrich Halabala for Thonet and Zavody Brno from the 1930s onward.
- Historical Style: Art Deco
- Condition Notes: Fully restored with refinished arms and legs, to boot.
