Well-Preserved Petite Apothecary Spice Cabinet Item # F5693

Circa 1900

Often replicated, but never truly duplicated, authentic apothecary cabinets are rare (and often misidentified) within the antique community. Made of solid and veneered oak, this cabinet is of English manufacture, and would have most likely been found in a country general store, or maybe even on board a traveling salesman's wagon. Each of the six drawers feature dovetail construction, porcelain knobs, and reverse-painted gilt glass labels, reading things like Arnica and Calumb. This rare cabinet is the kind of thing dreams are made of – a defining focal piece in the decoration of a special room.

  • Historical Style: Industrial
  • Condition notes: Nice vintage condition, with a few nicks in the wood and finish. See all photos for details.
