Mid-Century Blue Naval Clock by Seiko Item # F5902
Founded in Japan in 1877, the Seiko Clock company still makes time pieces today. This example comes from their more utilitarian line of clocks, which were used in countries around the globe. Ordered in bulk for municipal and government capacities, these clocks outfitted offices in buildings and on board battleships. This handsome clock features a robin's egg blue baked-on enamel finish and chrome details. It has also been outfitted with a new time keeping mechanism so that it will keep ticking for many years to come.
Notes: Access the time-keeping mechanism by unscrewing the knurled knob on the right side of the clock face. Once opened, you will see the time-keeper and the battery on the back-side of the clock's face. From here, you can set the time and change the battery as needed.
- Historical Style: Mid-Century
- Condition notes: Very good vintage condition, with new time keeping mechanism added.
