Lee Woodard Rocking Chair w/ Weathered Upholstery Item # F7721
Modern rocking chairs that were both innovative and retrospective became trend in the 1960's and '70's. This example by Lee Woodard & Co. is perhaps one of the most coveted results of that movement. Likely inspired by Michael Thonet or Josef Hoffman's early-century designs, this rocking chair features a swirling steel frame and a very comfortable tufted cushion, weathered to the perfect degree of distress. The armrest cushions were replaced with fresh vinyl at some point in its life. A fantastic, eye-catching piece.
- 27"W x 37-1/2"H x 39"D
- Historical Style: Modern
- Condition notes: As can be seen in the photos, there is a great amount of wear on the seat. All wear is commensurate with age and only adds to the character of the piece.
