Transitional Navajo Rug w/ Ganado Red Zig Zag Pattern Item # F8387

Circa 1905 | 44" x 69"

Beautifully woven in tones of red, white, black and gray, this Navajo weaving depicts a zig zag pattern from the Transitional period, likely from the Hubbell trading post of Ganado, Arizona. The handspun character of the yarns is especially evident in the fantastic variegation of the naturally dyed gray, brown, and black. Featuring jagged geometric forms, surrounded with white and red borders, this well-proportioned piece could be wall hanging, or area rug.

* 44" x 69"
* Historical Style: Traditional
* Condition Notes: Some wear, but no holes or stains. Features homespun, naturally dyed fibers.
