Quintessential Vintage Typewriter by Underwood c1915 Item # G0129
The Underwood Standard Typewriter is a classic word processor in every way. When Underwood started making the handy machines in 1900, their sturdy finger-pounders became the most popular typewriter until IBM hit the scene in the 1960's. This relic of the newspaper hay-day is in wonderful condition, complete with bright details and a well-oiled four-bank keyboard. The ribbon is still in fine shape, too, which means that this baby still has a bit to offer for writing the next great American novel.
- Historical Style: Classic
- Condition notes: Solid vintage condition with a few scratches and nicks in original paint. The keys are worn, as well, with a few of the outside keys being typed straight through to the cardboard – see all photos for details.
