Colonial Revival Mailbox w/ Newspaper Rack Item # G2526

Circa 1930s

It's easy to imaging this mailbox, situated outside the front door of every clapboard home in a 1930s neighborhood. Typical of that period and trend, Colonial Revival was the style of the day, which can be seen here in the pediment-shaped back plate and the star on the front flap.

  • Historical Style: Colonial Revival *Marked Remington Hardware Co. of Windmere, NY. *Condition Notes: The original finish is nicely intact, with a few spots of wear showing the cast aluminum below.
