Trio of Framed Costume Designs for Male Characters Item # G3077

Circa 1930s

"Juno and the Paycock" was a popular Irish play about the trials and tribulation of a Dublin family in the years following the Irish Civil War. The play would go on to become even more acclaimed when it was adapted as a film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. These hand-painted costume designs post-date the play's fame and were likely created for an amateur or community production.
