Round Plexiglass and Nylon Pendant Item # R3992

Circa 1965

This remarkable pendant is comprised of six plexiglass panels, the edges of which are scored to accommodate hundreds of razor-thin nylon cords. The cords converge to surround a single glowing bulb, causing the light to radiate in a completely unique and unexpected manner. Although the pendant is unmarked, it is safe to say that this fixture was made in the style of Paul Secon. Secon was an American businessman and design-lover who, for a short time, worked for Danish lighting company Sompex in the 1960's.

  • Historical Style: Mid-Century Modern
  • Notes: The pull chain is fully functional.
