Petite Entry Light w/ Two-Tone Finish Item # R8921
In the United States, the Colonial Revival represented both national pride and nostalgia for our 18th century beginnings. As both pride and nostalgia are always in style, the Colonial Revival had several revivals of its own, during the 1870’s, the 1920’s and the 1940’s, and remains a very popular style in architecture and lighting to this day. Throughout these rebirths, Colonial Revival lighting was characterized as modestly elegant, traditional and symmetrical, with graceful curves and turned elements that usually lacked overt ornamentation. Shining brass and polychromed metals were the most popular, but silver plated finishes often adorned the more elevated fixtures.
