Large Nautical Morse Code Clamp Light by Carlisle & Finch Item # R9355
Planes, trains, automobiles – advances in every mode of transportation have been outfitted with fixtures built by Carlisle & Finch. This signal light is dated 1988 and would have been used on a naval or merchant ship. The paddles on either side of the louvered lens are flicked to produce morse code, the 19th century communique that is still in use today.
With a "gun metal" gray finish, this clamp lamp pivots and articulates to point its flood light anywhere necessary. Originally, it was mounted on a railing, and we've included the original mounting bracket. For installation, a bar or rod will have to be used, or the bracket can be removed and the fixture bolted directly to a flat surface; the lamp does not stand on its own. A fantastic industrial element, perfect for any collector of nautical pieces.
- Historical Style: Industrial
- Condition Notes: Nicely preserved original finish, with a few dings and scratches in the paint.
