Shown here is a pair of Tiffany Studios wall sconces, combining a pair of turn-of-the-century Tiffany Metalware copper brackets with satin-finished Tiffany Art Glass shades. The shades are marked with the "LCT" (Louis Comfort Tiffany) etched signature, which can be seen in the additional photos of this piece.

While Tiffany Studios needs no introduction, it is important to understand the historical significance of these pieces, and the contributions made by Louis Comfort Tiffany to 19th and 20th-century Decorative Arts.

• Historical Style: Art Nouveau
• Condition Notes: Wonderfully patinated, with a hint of verdigris finish. The shades are all the same tone and opacity, but one is slightly shorter than the rest. When installed, that slight difference is not noticeable. One of the shades has a chip in the fitter edge, which can also not be seen once installed, unless you look up into the shade holder - see final photo.
