Drafting Table w/ Green Iron Base and Storage Compartment Item # F1288
The C.F. Pease Company of Chicago, Ill prided itself in offering "everything for blue printing: everything for the drafting room." This remarkable table comes from their line known as "The Fry," which was originally patented in 1894 and was considered their "plain drawing table – adjustable to any height or angle." The base is solid cast iron (finished in wonderfully worn mint-green paint) and the top is pine with bread board ends, set atop an oak compartment (accessed by lifting the top), which is marked Hamilton – perhaps the pieces are cobbled together from different drafting tables. An ideal alternative to your dining table or desk, the surface adjusts easily and stays put solidly.
- Historical Style: Industrial
- Condition notes: Well-worn finish in the wood and iron.
